Christmas Staff Day: A Day Off-Screen with the iLivestock Team

At iLivestock, we’re growing quickly, but we’re intentional about staying connected. That’s why we invest in a yearly Christmas get-together — a chance to step away from screens, slow things down, spend time together, and act silly, just because! And this year, we leaned into something that reflects where we’re heading as a business: going international.

On 12 December, colleagues travelled to Glasgow to do just that. With teams spread across countries and often working across time zones, days like this don’t happen by accident. They’re deliberate, and increasingly important as the company continues to scale.

The day began at Jungle Rumble, where mini-golf, darts, pizzas, and drinks broke the ice almost instantly. It was relaxed, noisy, and full of laughter. Teams were mixed up, titles quickly disappeared, and friendly competition (and questionable golf skills) took over.

Later in the afternoon, the group moved to Malo for a wine flight and company update. This part of the day reflected iLivestock’s expanding international footprint, with wines from countries we’re already working with — and others we’ll be rolling out to next. From South Africa to Romania, the flavours sparked conversation, curiosity, and more than a few surprised reactions. The update offered time to pause, look back on the year, and reflect on what the team has achieved together. It was an impressive list. As the afternoon went on, silly hats and costumes made an appearance — a reminder that while iLivestock takes its work seriously, it doesn’t take itself too seriously.

The evening wrapped up at Gaucho, gathered around a long table over good food and easy conversation. Steak lovers were well catered for, and our vegetarians didn’t miss out either. The silliness continued, achievements were quietly celebrated, and plans for “round two” were made well beyond the official end time.

As iLivestock grows, days like this show the kind of company we want to be. One that puts people first, values connection, and keeps up momentum for what builds for the long term.
