Meet George. He has a sheep and cattle farm in North Wales and invested in an iLivestock system in 2023:
β
"I have been using iLivestock for over a year now and I can say it has made my life much easier. I can record everything from weights, movements, treatments, breeding and more with just a few taps on my phone or tablet. iLivestock helps me comply with the local regulations and keep track of my stock performance. It is a great tool for any farmer who wants to save time and money."

iLivestock, a leading provider of livestock management software, has announced the launch of new breeding screens for sheep and cattle farmers. The new screens are designed to make it easier for farmers to capture and view breeding information for their animals, such as tupping, lambing, calving and offspring details.
The new breeding screens are available in the Breeding section of iLivestock, which can be accessed on any smartphone or tablet device. Farmers can create breeding records for individual animals or groups of animals, and scan or enter the tags of their offspring. They can also view the history and status of their breeding records at a glance.
The new breeding screens are part of iLivestock's continuous efforts to improve its system and provide regular updates to its users. iLivestock is trusted by farmers around the world for its features such as compliance, weight recording, smart grouping, reporting and EiD integration.
Have any questions about the breeding section in iLivestock or need additional support? Check out the 'How to use breeding' article in our academy hub.
Farmers who want to try out the new breeding screens can contact the iLivestock team for more information.
Zoe and Gary are tenant farmers in East Anglia. With a veterinary background and a love for animals, Zoe joined Gary and his beef farming business a few years back. What started as a pet project, is slowly turning into a serious pedigree sheep farming venture producing both quality pedigree and butchery lambs.
Zoe and Gary didn't have any kind of technology on the farm before.
Now they breed their own pedigree flock of North Country Cheviots, a new farm activity using iLivestock. They wanted to do it properly and set off looking for a livestock management bundle that would keep them organised and compliant. They also knew that it would be useful to know maternal and paternal lineages, so the program needed to be able to capture detailed breeding information.
They held paper records for a 25 head suckler herd until recently, but started using iLivestock to register their holding records with British Cattle Movement Service (BCMS). In future, they are keen to use the iLivestock management app for rearing calves.

In 2016, sheep and cattle farmer George Sturla started Beeches Farm. A solo part-time farming venture in North Wales that started with seven sheep. Now he runs the farm together with his partner Hollie Blockley. An enterprise consisting of 140 breeding ewes, 13 suckler cows and 25 store cattle. Since 2022, Beeches Farm delivers lamb - and soon also beef - boxes to local households.
George and Hollie invested in an iLivestock system to closely monitor their livestock, keep animal records up-to-date and save time on the farm to manage their full-time jobs. They use eWeigh, a Bluetooth enabled animal weighing device system, to monitor the daily weight gains of their lambs until they're ready for end-consumers.

Hey there,
Fantastic to see one of our iLivestock farmers Hayden Woolley talking about EasyCare sheep genetics in Farmers Weekly today π°π’

The Shropshire sheep and arable farmer runs a flock of 4,000 ewes. More than a fourth of his flock are now part of, presumably, the world's largest progeny testing scheme of wool-shedding sheep to help future UK farmers cut their production costs. By using iLivestockπ±π

Cornish farmer Steve Penberthy is one of the early adopters of iLivestock. With a fulltime job, next to his sheep farming business, welcomed faster and simpler methods to help him run his sheep farm. Ultimately, to spend more time on his other passion: surfing. Thatβs where iLivestock came in πππ±π
On Trewithick Farm, he runs a commercial flock of 150 Suffolks, Dorsets, and Lleyns ewes; and a pedigree flock of Suffolk, Charollais and Texel ewes. Steve uses most - if not all - features in the iLivestock platform as a simple method to manage his pedigree flock of Suffolk sheep and keeping note of the pedigree line.
Key app features that Steve uses:
The integration with eWeigh in his Rappa yard means that he can record commercial weights of the lambs throughout their growing time up until they go to market.

As of today, iLivestock now also integrates with Gallagher W0 and Tru-Test S3, on android as well as iOS. This means we now offer a full range of EID reader equipment integrations. To our knowledge, we are the first to integrate with Gallagher W0. But there is more: weβve enhanced the workflow for customers using a Tru-Test EziWeigh 7i, improved the Bluetooth connection and fixed a few login bugs.
We hope you'll enjoy the product improvements and that it will speed up your animal recording ππ±πππ
